Eglė Bezzubovaitė

I'm Eglė — an inclusive sports coach.

My journey began in rowing. Today, I draw on my sporting experience, studies and work with different people to help more people find movement that suits them and a place in the community.

Growing up in sport

I am a former member of the Lithuanian national rowing team. Competing nationally and internationally taught me consistency, responsibility and teamwork. Sport became part of my life and, later, my profession.

As a coach, I also see great value in someone's first steps: coming along to meet me, trying a movement and finding an activity that suits them. I want people to be able to take part even when mainstream sports provision does not meet their needs or offer the adaptations they need.

Results and experiences that shaped me

At a training camp in Italy in 2017, I rowed alongside Milda Valčiukaitė and Donata Karalienė. I also raced with Donata at the Piediluco regatta. It was an opportunity to learn directly from highly experienced athletes.

In 2024, Tomas Plauška and I won the mixed double sculls event at the Lithuanian Student Rowing Championships, representing Klaipėda University.

Working with children and people with disabilities

I worked at the Startukas children's sports school with young children aged around 2–5 and older children up to 12. Through JUDU365 activities, I gained experience in adapted rowing and surfing. Both physical and emotional readiness to take part matter in these activities.

I also have practical experience of swimming sessions with people who are afraid of water. I currently work in rowing with children and people with disabilities. My public professional profile lists Kaunas Bangpūtys Sports School and JUDU365. Please contact me about specific sessions and registration.

Education and training

University education

In 2024, I completed the Leisure Sports undergraduate programme at Klaipėda University and was awarded a bachelor's degree in sport.

In 2025, I received the LTU Aquatics Children's Swimming Coach certificate. The course comprised 60 hours: 22 hours of theory, 18 hours of practical training and 20 hours of independent study.

A vision for a space shaped by experience

As a single mother raising a young son, I know what it is like to balance a wish to be active with caring for a child. This experience is one of the reasons I began imagining a sports space where parents could bring young children.

Working with people with disabilities has also shown me how much the environment, equipment and organisation of an activity matter. Eglė Moves is growing from these experiences. I want to create a place where different needs are considered from the outset, making it easier for each person to find a way to join in.
