Community and future plans

More chances to move and connect.

Sport can be a way to meet people, learn and find an activity to look forward to. Through Eglė Moves, I want to build a community with more opportunities to take part, where different needs can be discussed in advance.

Taking part starts with being able to come

Someone may need clear information, adapted equipment, a suitable time or individual attention. Sometimes the decision to join starts with a simple conversation about what to expect. I want to create activities where there is room for these questions.

My experience in rowing, surfing activities and working with children is the foundation for this direction. I will plan future community activities around the participants, venue and available resources.

The vision for summer camps

My long-term aim is to organise summer camps for children and people with disabilities. I want to create more opportunities for an active summer, social connection and trying a suitable sport.

A camp programme has not yet been announced, and registration is not open. Activities for children and adults may take different forms, so participants, venues, support needs and specialist involvement will be considered separately for each programme.

Helping more people take part

I plan to seek funding to adapt activities and, where possible, cover places for participants. How much of a programme’s costs could be funded would depend on its actual budget and partners.

The ambition to improve access is not a promise of a free camp. Participation terms will be clear once the programme and funding are in place.

The path to a first event

The first step is to lay the foundations for my current activities and future sports space. Each community project will need several clear steps.

  • Define the participant group and the purpose of the activity.
  • Find a suitable venue and specialists, and assess participation requirements.
  • Prepare a budget and set out how costs will be covered.
  • Publish a confirmed programme, dates, registration details and a contact for questions.
  • Share what took place and the project’s results afterwards.

Let’s start with a conversation

If you are a coach, represent an organisation or have a specific idea for working together, get in touch with me. You may be able to contribute expertise, a venue or equipment, or help identify the community’s needs.

Right now, the priority is to build meaningful connections and plan the first steps clearly. I will share confirmed projects and opportunities to get involved here.
